Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Nature app ("the app," "we," "our"). By using Nature, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Service
Nature is a digital wellness app that helps you track screen time, block distracting apps during focus sessions, and build healthier phone habits. Nature uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to provide usage insights and app blocking features.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Nature. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
3. Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Nature Premium
- Free Trial: new users may receive a 7-day free trial of Nature Premium. The trial begins when you start it during onboarding or from the app.
- Pricing: Nature Premium is available as a monthly ($4.99/month) or annual ($29.99/year) auto-renewing subscription.
- Payment: payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Renewal: subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Management: you can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Refunds: refund requests are handled by Apple per their App Store refund policy.
5. App Blocking Features
Nature uses Apple's FamilyControls and ManagedSettings frameworks to block apps during focus sessions and via blocking profiles. Please note:
- App blocking is entirely user-controlled. You choose which apps to block and when.
- During Serenity Mode sessions, you set an emergency phrase to unlock blocked apps if needed.
- Blocking restrictions may persist at the OS level even if the app is uninstalled. You can remove them via iOS Settings → Screen Time, or by reinstalling Nature and using the restore/stop function.
- Nature is not a parental control tool. It is designed for self-directed use by individual adults.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app to restrict another person's device access without their knowledge or consent
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and code in Nature are owned by us or our licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Nature is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that app blocking will work in all circumstances. Screen Time API behavior is controlled by Apple and may change with iOS updates.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to lost productivity, missed notifications, or inability to access blocked apps during emergencies.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases, but Sections 8, 9, and 11 survive.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
